Motorhome travel is exciting especially if you are going away with your family, friends and furry friends, but what do you need to consider if you are travelling with your pet?
Before you are ready to go on your motorhome adventure, please think about the destination campsite you are potentially going to be staying at, is it dog friendly, there are guides available to help you.
Acclimatise your pet
Maybe your pet hasn’t travelled in a motorhome before, therefore before you go whilst the motorhome is parked up, get them acclimatised, spend a little time in the motorhome with them, take time out to read, watch TV, have a takeaway and a cup of tea, make them feel part of the routine and lifestyle.

Pet safety is paramount
If your pet suffers from travel sickness or anxiety, make sure there are ample exercise stops along the way and take any appropriate medication.
Travel Safe, like human passengers, pet safety is paramount, be sure to fit tailor-made harnesses appropriate to the make and model of your vehicle.

Make them feel at home
Take away their favourite toys, and objects to play with, and make sure you take their blanket or beds that already have their smells on, it will make them feel right at home.
Take their food and water bowls and always ensure water is available for them.
Remember to take towels for those muddy paws.
Consider purchasing a dog tie-out cable and stake with 10m to 15m length, allowing ample movement.

Protect the furnishing
