Breakdown of Each Chausson Range
Vans
If you want a motorhome you can nip to the shops in, start here. Chausson’s vans stay easy to drive and park every day. They still give you a proper place to sleep, cook and unwind.
Lengths run from the 5.41m V594S to the 6.36m V697. First Line keeps things simple, while Sport Line adds extra equipment and styling. Most layouts suit couples and solo travellers. The F&S is the exception, built for families who love the outdoors.
In stock at Elite: Sport Line vans such as the V691.
X
The X is the one that gets people talking. It isn’t quite a van, and it isn’t quite low-profile, and that’s exactly its charm. You get a van-sized footprint with a surprisingly roomy living space.
The X550 is 5.99m and the X650 is 6.36m. Both have four seats and four berths. An electric fold-down bed and Smartlounge seating help each one feel bigger than it looks. The X650 also adds a modular garage, handy for bikes and bulky kit.
In stock at Elite Motorhomes: X550 and X650 Sport Automatic.
S Slim Low-Profile
Think of the S as the sensible step up. You get a proper low-profile interior without feeling nervous on a narrow lane.
The S514 is 5.99m, while the S614 and S697 are 6.59m. All three sit on the Ford chassis. The S614 sleeps four, so it’s the one for families.
In stock at Elite Motorhomes: S514 and S614.
Titanium Line
Titanium is where you’ll find the most choice, and it’s where we have the most models to show you. The layouts really do vary.
The 630 has two independent drop-down beds. The 640 has an XXL drop-down bed and the 627 pairs twin beds with a garage. The 720 is the family favourite, with five travel seats and up to six berths.
Titanium and Ultimate share some floorplans. The difference is mostly specification rather than layout.
In stock at Elite Motorhomes: Titanium 630, 640, 660 and 720.
Ultimate Line
Ultimate is for those who like their touring with a little extra luxury. You get higher specifications and room to stretch out.
The 797 is 7.39m long. It has an island bed, a second drop-down bed, a separate shower and a large garage. The 798 takes a similar approach with a central bed and a big, welcoming lounge. Both are made for couples who love a longer trip.
In stock at Elite Motorhomes: 640 Ultimate, 797 Ultimate and 798 Ultimate.
Overcab
If you’re counting heads rather than metres, the overcab is your answer. A permanent bed above the cab means far more berths without relying on drop-down beds.
The C514 is 5.99m with four berths. The C656 has seven berths while staying under seven metres, and the C727 has six at 7.36m. The rear bunk in the C656 even folds away to free up garage space.
In stock at Elite Motorhomes: overcab models such as the six-berth Flash 03.
A-Class
And then there’s the A-Class, the one that turns heads on any campsite. Without a separate cab, the interior feels wonderfully open and you get a panoramic view from the front.
The 7057 and 7068 are both 7.47m on the Fiat Ducato, with four seats and four berths. The 7057 has twin rear beds that convert to a king-size bed. The 7068 has a height-adjustable island bed. Ask our team about current availability.
Finding the Right Chausson Range for You
There’s no wrong answer here, only the one that fits how you travel. If you want to stay compact, start with the vans, X or S. For more living space without going large, look at the S or a smaller Titanium.
Families will find the most berths in the overcabs, with the Titanium 720 as a low-profile alternative. Couples who tour for longer will enjoy the bigger Titanium and Ultimate models. The A-Class is for anyone who puts space ahead of size.
